Sometimes you just find yourself in the right place, at the right time. Rachel and Ryan's love story is the kind where you just know soulmates truly exist. Rachel and Ryan actually met over 10 years ago, while still in college. Rachel attended Penn State, and Ryan attended the University of Delaware. Through mutual friends, they became acquainted at a house party around 2014, and while some flirtation (and, allegedly, even a hand hold!) may have occurred, their story did not fully begin to unfold until February of 2022. The two had unexpectedly crossed paths at Pig and Parrot, a bar in Hoboken, on bingo night. It was a swift encounter as Rachel was on her way out. Rachel remembers talking to her mom while headed home, and mentioning her run-in with Ryan, stating he was still very cute. At the same time, Ryan was telling his friends how he had been in love with her since he first laid eyes on her all those years ago. From this point, Ryan had tried to pursue Rachel through Instagram messages, but she played a little hard-to-get. Eventually, she gave into his charm and they started seeing each other that summer. The rest is history. The couple later moved in together in the Summer of 2023 and blended their households with Rachel's two cats, Leo and Luna, and Ryan's dog, Layla. They love spending every day with each other and truly are the best of friends. Their mornings consist of going to the gym together, walking Layla, and grabbing coffees at their local cafè. They also spend most nights cooking together or trying new restaurants. And on Rachel's 30th birthday, on the beautiful island of Antigua, Ryan got down on one knee and asked her to be his forever, and promised to always protect her. He said some other kind words but both Rachel and Ryan were so emotional and excited that a lot of that speech has since been forgotten. They now look forward to officially becoming one, surrounded by their closest family and friends. Sounds like the perfect recipe for a wedding!
