Lake Nantahala is located 2.75 hours from Atlanta, GA, 2.5 hours from Chattanooga, TN 2 hours from Asheville, NC, and 2.5 hours from Knoxville, TN.
There are some options close by the venue, although it's probably not a bad idea to pick up some snacks or breakfast supplies on your drive in. Visit "Things To Do" for nearby restaurants and grocery shopping recommendations. Lakes End Diner is well reviewed and located 1 mile from the venue on the lake.
As Nantahala is in the mountains, it tends to be a bit cooler than the surrounding areas. Rain can happen (all of the venue has covered options) so don't forget a rain coat!
The wedding is located at Nantahala Weddings, 16121 Wayah Rd, Topton, NC 28781, please make sure to download directions as cell service is variable. From I-23, take US 64 W for 3.8 miles. Turn right onto Patton Rd and then an immediate left onto Wayah Rd. Follow the road for 16 miles, the venue will be on the right. Due to internet limitations, please make sure to have directions prior to leaving your point of origin. There is plenty of parking on the sides of the road surrounding the venue.
Our wedding is an outdoor venue, so we are keeping things dressy casual. There are gravel roads, and a walk up an incline is required, so wear comfortable shoes! Do note that the average temperature in Nantahala is 60's-70's during May.
We ask that you keep all phones silenced and away during the ceremony. We have professional photographers who will take care of picture taking so you can focus on spending the moment with us.
