Andrew proposed to me on his birthday! We had been planning our wedding for a few months but I didn’t know when he was actually going to propose. He told me his parents were coming in to town for his birthday and we planned to have dinner at my parents house that evening so everyone could meet! Andrews parents had just celebrated their 33nd anniversary and they had few pictures together over the years so Andrew mentioned he wanted to find a nice spot to get photos of them taken while they were here. As the day went on his parents were “conveniently” running late and we decided to go ahead and find a spot for their photos and they would meet us their. We found a beautiful spot by the lake on a white bench and we decided to take a few practice photos. Andrew was sneaky and put the camera on record and came over and got down on one knee and proposed! I was so shocked and of course I said YES! His parents were never coming to get their photos taken and the party ended up not being for his birthday but instead an engagement party with our families!
