What will weather be like?

Our dear northerner friends may be surprised by how strangely warm it is down here in Missouri - which we are still shocked by as well. January is the month where snow is possible down here, but there is also the possibility that it will be 60 degrees and sunny. The plan is for an indoor ceremony, but the venue has also heard of surprise 60 degree days that allow weddings even in the heart of winter to celebrate on the river bluff. We recommend bringing layers as an option to go with your planned outfit, but will make a decision that will guarantee the most comfort for all of our guests.

So what about food and drinks?

Answer

After the ceremony there will be a cocktail hour with food and drinks for your enjoyment while the wedding party takes photos. There will also be a seated meal offered, with main courses including a beef brisket or chicken option. We will do our best to accommodate a variety of dietary needs with options for our vegetarian and vegan friends as well as options that are friendly to a variety of allergens or religious dietary restrictions. If you have specific dietary needs, please reach out and let us see what we can do to ensure we all can enjoy a delicious celebratory meal.

Who is welcome?

Answer

We ask that you find arrangements for your children prior to the wedding as this will be an adults-only evening. We love your littles, but would love to have a relaxing night of adult celebrations. Please refer to your invitation for information on plus ones. We have intentionally sought LGBTQIA+ affirming vendors to further your comfort in bringing whoever you love to celebrate with us. If we don't have the pleasure of personally knowing your partner, please include their pronouns if you are comfortable doing so to help us properly address everyone in conversation and in thank you notes.

Can I share photos on social media?

Answer

Absolutely! We will ask that our ceremony remain unplugged with phones off or silenced and in pockets, purses, or left in laps so that they do not interfere with our photographer. Don't worry, we will share these photos with everyone once Sara sends them to us! As you post, please use #SayMurnaneSayMurnane and #TheMurnaneEvent to help us find all of your photos across social media platforms!
