We met on a cool Saturday night, in a little bar in Soulard. We were both there providing moral support to friends who had recently starting dating. Neither of us went out really looking to meet someone that we might date, much less marry one day. However, it only took one night to realize that this could be something incredible. Since then, it has been nothing short of perfect. Every moment we spend together is full of laughter, love, and taking turns cleaning up cat accidents. We can't wait to do this for the rest of our lives.
Our plan was to grab tacos at Cha Cha Chow, one of our favorite restaurants. I was on my way to pick him up when he said he had a couple things he needed to do before we head out and that I should come upstairs. When I got to the door there was a note taped to the glass that read: "Hi Babe! I've got a few things I want to tell you before you get to the top of the stairs... P.S. Close the door behind you." Upon entering, there were candles on each side of the steps going all the way up to the top. On every other step there was a note. At the top of the stairs stood Matt. Box in hand. He got down on one knee. I couldn't have said "Yes" fast enough.
