Getting there

The Miller cabin is located in Cable, Wisconsin on Lake Namakagon in the heart of the Chequemagon National Forest. It is about a 3 hour drive north of the Twin Cities. If you are coming from out of town, we recommend flying into MSP airport and renting a car to drive to Cable. *Please book your accommodations as soon as possible as there may be limited availability during the summer months. We have 11 rooms at the Garmisch USA Resort and 6 rooms at the Cable Nature Lodge reserved for our guests until Feb 1, 2026. Telemark Northwoods Lodging has also reserved 10 rooms for our guests. Mention you are part of the Hovseth wedding when booking.

Located 10 min down the road from the Miller Cabin. A German inspired lodge with full service bar and food with rooms inside for rent. Many rooms in cabins or full cabins are also available on the property. *11 rooms have been reserved at the Garmisch Inn (Thurs-Sun) for our guests until February 1, 2026. After that, please call the inn for availability. Please call the number listed above and mention you are part of the Hovseth wedding.

Cable Nature Lodge & Lounge

11 minutes from the Miller Cabin, a peaceful lodge tucked into the forest across from Ammo's Evergreen Tavern. *6 rooms have been reserved (Thurs-Sun) to be available for our guests until Jan 1, 2026. After that, please call the lodge for availability. You can call the number above or the Garmisch and mention you are part of the Hovseth wedding.

21 minutes from our cabin is Telemark Northwoods Lodging. *We have reserved 4 Standard A rooms, 4 standard B rooms, and a few studio rooms for our guests. These rooms are for Fri-Sun or Sat-Sun. Mention you are a part of the Miller/Hovseth wedding and get a 15% discount if you book by April 15, and 10% discount if you book by May 15.

Travel Note

AirBnB Rentals & Campgrounds

There are a few cabins on Lake Namekagon available to rent for the weekend through AirBnB/VRBO. The 'Hilltop'/Large Lakeside Retreat (sleeps 14) and The Hideaway (sleeps 6) on AirBnB are both located on Viking Bay Dr, with a minimum 7-night stay. Mortensons resort and Osprey point AirBnBs are also on the same bay as our cabin in close proximity. *Book your stays as soon as possible as there is limited availability in the summer months as well as length of stay minimums. Namekagon Lake Recreation Area is a campground located off of Missionary Point Dr.
