Every great love story must begin somewhere. And sometimes, the beginning is a little unexpected. For Isabella and Drake, their beginning was when both swiped right on Tinder. Even though they both swiped right (which means they both thought the other was pretty cute 😉), it took a LONG time for the couple to actually meet. They started texting May 31, 2020. It wasn’t until October 24, 2020, that the couple actually met. In that time, Drake dropped his phone in a lake, which caused Isabella to go into a panic. When Drake finally had a working phone again, Isabella didn’t know if she was actually ready for a relationship. And so, it was a very bumpy five months of texting. But in that time, God was working on both of their hearts. That time of uncertainty was God preparing them for each other and the plan He had for them. Even though they had never met, they both wondered if the other was “the one.” Conversation was natural and easy, and like was said earlier, they both thought the other was cute! When Drake finally came to Hill City to visit Isabella, she was massively unprepared. Take a moment to imagine a freaked out, stressed and anxious Isabella racing around the house as she frantically cleaned while simultaneously trying to do her hair and make-up. But it was worth it, because when Drake walked up to door, Isabella remembers, “I knew in that instant he was the one.” They immediately began dating. After five months of texting, they knew each other pretty well! But the time of intentional dating allowed them to grow even closer and get to know each other’s families. Both families quickly agreed the pair was a perfect match. Laidback and steady Drake was the perfect balance for vibrant and “extra” Isabella. Drake proposed to Isabella on October 30, 2021, and the couple dove into wedding planning. Well, Isabella dove in. Drake quickly learned the value of saying “Yes, dear. I love you, dear.” Which brings us to now. As the day of Drake and Isabella’s wedding quickly approaches, they ask for your continued prayers for their vocation of marriage. Thanks for the prayers! They can’t wait to see you on their big day!
