The closest airport is the Asheville airport, and the waterfall is about an hour drive from downtown Asheville. We ourselves are staying in downtown Asheville for the weekend. There are a lot of Airbnb and Vrbo options in the area, but we have also listed a few hotels close to where dinner will be if you prefer hotels.
