It's a cliche, but this is one of our favorite places in the city. It's why we chose to live right next door! But even before we moved to this neighborhood and the park became convenient, we spent so much time here. We recommend checking out Bethesda Fountain, Sheep Meadow, and The Ramble (you can easily get there from the path going west from the entrance of the Loeb Boathouse).
The Brooklyn Bridge stretches out on your left, the Manhattan Bridge on your right, with the whole of lower Manhattan nestled in between. One of the best views in the city and a reason to swing by DUMBO.
It may be a little chilly, but this is a great way to see the Statue of Liberty and the NYC skyline for free!
Our wedding's in December, so the Rockefeller Christmas Tree will be on full display. It may be a tourist trap, but this is something you gotta see if you're from out of town. Bring some cocoa!
This is a great option to fill up some time in the winter, especially if your traveling with kids.
This is some of our favorite pizza in NYC and right next to our venue. If you're lucky, you may even get some free limoncello with Paulie Gee himself. Steve recommends the Hellboy and Rachel recommends the Neffy’s Porkpie White.
Our first date! A minute after meeting, a chatty barfly congratulated us on being in love and we didn't correct him. In hindsight, he might have been Cupid. Anyway, this is a dive bar in Hell's Kitchen that offers a free hotdog with every beer order. It's a weird crowd, but a NYC staple and always a fun time.
This is an Irish bar in lower manhattan that serves the best Guinness and Irish coffee (both hot and cold) in NYC.
