Should I rent a car? How do I get around if I don't?
Answer
If you decide to fly into the Santa Barbara airport, it is probably not necessary to rent a car for the weekend, assuming you're staying in town. If you're flying into LAX, renting a car for the weekend will likely be less expensive than taxiing or Ubering from LAX to Santa Barbara. If you're feeling adventurous, look into taking the Amtrak Surfliner train up the coast to Santa Barbara: http://www.pacificsurfliner.com. Once you're in Santa Barbara, how to get around is dependent on where you stay. Most of the town is super walk-able, so look at a map before you decide to spend money on a cab or Uber (yes, there is Uber in SB!).

Nope. There are a lot of great hotel and VRBO / AirBnB options in Santa Barbara that span price ranges. Feel free to book whatever looks good to you-- just make sure you can make it to the ceremony on time!

When do I show up where?
Answer
The ceremony and reception will be on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at the Santa Barbara Zoo. Guests get free parking and admittance to the Zoo beginning at 4 PM. Feel free to come then to enjoy the beautiful grounds before our ceremony begins at 5 PM sharp. We will be at the Zoo until our reception ends at 10 PM. After party details will be forthcoming.

Can I bring my kids to the ceremony? To the reception?

We love your kids! But we want to give you the night off to celebrate with us, so we are hosting an adults-only ceremony and reception. We can help coordinate group child care for the evening-- just let us know if you're interested when you RSVP!

What do I wear to the wedding?
Answer
Men are encouraged to wear jackets (tie optional) and women have their preference of cocktail or long dresses. The ceremony and reception are outside on grass, so ladies, choose your footwear appropriately. There will be heat lamps for dinner and the reception, but please bring a wrap or a coat if you get chilly easily.

If you're into animal encounters, you should get super excited about our cocktail hour. Get ready for giraffe feedings and Flamingles (which is exactly what it sounds like)!

Will you guys be around if I want to make a long weekend of it?
Answer
We will be in Santa Barbara in the days leading up to the wedding and would love to see those who manage to take a few extra days off to celebrate. Please get in touch if you're in town early!
