We're Getting Married!

We met the modern way: on Hinge. Alexis likes to say she lucked out and found Tim early, then scooped him up before the other ladies had a chance.

Our first date was at Pour Choice, and it just so happened to be Alexis’ birthday (she didn’t tell Tim that at the time). She had plans with friends but didn’t want to miss the chance to meet him before heading out of town (and let’s be honest, on dating apps, you strike while the iron’s hot). So she rescheduled dinner, gave her friends a heads-up just in case, and took a chance. Luckily, the date went so well there was no need for a backup plan. We played Jenga (Tim claims he dominated), totally bombed superhero trivia, and crushed African American culture trivia. According to Tim, that trivia round was when he knew this was something real. Alexis had a gut feeling from the very beginning too. By date three, it was clear this wasn’t just another app match.

Those early days were full of laughter, spontaneous adventures, and some truly awkward dog encounters. Shoutout to Reese, the relentless leg-humper. At one point, Tim walked in to find Alexis just standing there mid-hump, having fully accepted defeat. Ah, romance.

Over the past few years, we’ve built a life we love—late-night 90 Day Fiancé binges, more Monopoly games than any couple should legally play, new restaurants, and lake house projects. We’re different in all the right ways. Alexis is impulsive and always down for an adventure. Tim is thoughtful and steady. She’s the micro, he’s the macro. In social settings, he talks, she smiles and nods. And somehow, it just works. We both appreciate a good moment of silence and a cold Bud Light.

Now we’re getting married, and we can’t wait to keep doing what we do best: laughing, growing, and loving. Thanks for being part of our story. We can’t wait to celebrate with you.
