We met at the start of pharmacy school at the University of Kentucky in August 2016. We developed a friendship over the years that grew stronger when we were lab partners in spring 2019. After Miley returned from studying abroad that June, we really hit it off and have been together ever since. On our first date, we went to dinner at the Village Idiot in Lexington before touring 21c Art Museum and enjoying the beauty of downtown.

Evan got down on one knee after a romantic dinner at 82 Queen in Charleston, South Carolina. He asked Miley to marry him in front of the iconic Pineapple Fountain in Waterfront Park during pictures. Evan arranged a few of Miley's friends to be there for this special moment along with a beautiful picnic to celebrate.
