Update 08-30: Dear Friends and Family, In light of COVID-19 spikes in Georgia, we wanted to check in and let you know your health and safety are our top priority. We’ve decided to postpone our reception. We will keep you posted if we decided to try again (third time's the charm) once everyone's safety can be better assured. Wishing you health and safety, Miles and Theresa
We met at Georgia Tech through a mutual friend in 2013. Our first date was at Six Flags with some free tickets from a school night (I asked him out). We spent a lot of our relationship traveling between the Atlanta area and Augusta. We had known early on that we wanted to get married but finishing school was a priority. I had graduated first and continued on with my Master's in Augusta while Miles had gotten a job in Athens after he graduated. Finally in 2018 we bought a house together and in July, 2019 Miles proposed as we were finishing our surprise trip to Universal Studios. I had accidentally (and unknowingly) prevented him from proposing on a secluded garden path on the way back to the hotel we were staying at. Later, when he asked me to have a seat so he could give me one last surprise, I started to laugh with joy as I realized what was going on and what I had done earlier.
