A "havan" is a traditional Indian ceremony, in which a fire is lit and we gather to set intentions and seek blessings. The fire is seen as a purifier and a medium for conveying prayers and connecting with natural elements, and this ceremony has been important in the Kumar family for years, done for any significant life event or transition to bless and bring goodwill to all those in attendance. During this ceremony, Neha and Miles will provide offerings to the fire and seek blessings for their new life together. Doors open at 4:30 PM, please try to be in your seats by 5 PM so the ceremony can start on time!

Following the havan ceremony, there will be a cocktail hour (in the same location) to allow for a quick costume change for the bride and groom, and for us to get a chance to see everyone and enjoy your presence! Light appetizers provided during the cocktail hour and henna available for those interested. A buffet-style dinner (with both non-vegetarian and vegetarian options) will follow, along with speeches and dancing!
