Miles and Genesis met in 2017 at Penn State Berks, and like many good things, it started out simple. On the first day of class, Genesis, always the dedicated student, sat in the front row, ready to dive into the semester. Miles, being a bit more laid-back, found his way to the seat next to her. No big intentions, just a spot with a good view of the professor. But from that moment, they clicked. They became fast friends, bonding over small conversations and shared moments during class. Even though their majors were totally different—Miles in engineering, Genesis in psychology—they saw each other around campus a lot. Sometimes at the cafeteria, sometimes at Tully’s, or even at the Thun Library, always exchanging smiles, waves, and the occasional chat. What started as friendly banter and shared space on campus turned into something more, something they both hadn’t expected but quickly began to value deeply. Over time, the small moments turned into bigger ones—longer talks, late-night study sessions, and, of course, those quiet moments when they realized they didn’t just like being around each other; they needed to be. And that’s how it all began—casual, unplanned, and yet, somehow, perfect. In 2024, Genesis and Miles revisited the place they met - Perkins 003.
