This old school Cajun butcher shop has great breakfast on weekends and phenomenal BBQ plate lunches in the afternoon. Highly recommend the country rib and the “parrain” sandwich.
Where the world famous Tabasco hot sauce was invented and bottled. A bit of a drive, but pretty cool.
For not being a bustling metropolis, Lafayette has an above average zoo. Maybe worth a trip after having a few brews at Parish?

There are guided swamp tours available, otherwise just go drive around to check out some wildlife.
