Miles has always been the kind of guy who turns moments into stories you end up talking about for years. From catching Tottenham games in London to taking helicopter rides over Rio, he somehow finds a way to make every experience feel bigger and more memorable. What stands out most though is how real he is. No matter what’s going on, he shows up consistently and genuinely, with a sense of humor that makes everything better. Seeing him find someone he truly connects with and build this next chapter is something I’m proud to witness. If their relationship is anything like the kind of friend he’s been, it’s going to be built on loyalty, laughter, and a lot of great memories.

Growing up with Ash, she’s always been someone who just wants to have fun and make people laugh. Even with all those childhood memories, some of my favorites are from the time we spent together in college. We were always hanging out, and whether it was who got the bigger strawberry at Zupas or getting oatmeal cookies from the vending machine, she always found a way to make everything funnier and lighter just by being herself. Ash is an extremely loyal person - if she loves you, she’ll always have your back. It means so much to see her with someone who gives that same kind of love back to her. I’m just really happy for her and everything in their future ahead of them.

Where do I begin? Miles was at the hospital when I was born and we’ve since had over 30 years of memories together. From childhood to being with me as I found out I was going to be a father on a boys trip in San Diego, it’s impossible to pick just one. I think my fondest memory of Miles goes back to being 8 or 9 years old. We were living in a small town on the south coast of England, and we used to sit for hours on Miles’ brand new N64 playing Vigilante 8 and listening to Hurricane #1’s “Greatest High”. He was always the older brother that I didn’t have and I’ll always cherish those early memories as much as any. Gun to my head…Oasis in 2025 at Wembley Stadium in London for Miles’ birthday. Ash & I always bonded over quoting movie lines, laughing at inside jokes that probably sounded a little weird to everyone else, and anytime we see an ugly character on screen, we’d immediately say it was each other. My favorite memory of Ashlyn is her doing her acting skills video which she does hate but it is still my favorite. I’m so happy she found her person, especially since Miles loves Lord of the Rings too.

I first met Pat (Miles) 31 years ago, though I can’t say I made the best first impression. I gave him a bit of a hard time for squinting his eyes… I thought he was trying to look cool! Despite that questionable start, we quickly became close friends. One of the moments that really cemented our friendship was back in 1995, when we had to guide each other blindfolded through an obstacle course, back in the days before risk assessments were even a thing! Trust was essential, and it’s something that’s defined our friendship ever since. Pat is also the godfather to my daughter, Sofia, which says everything about the kind of man he is someone you can always rely on, who shows up, follows through, and embodies loyalty and trust. Here’s to a marriage that lasts as long as our friendship and far beyond.

Ashlyn has been my longest childhood friend. From playing barbies to nerf wars, and sharing the same love of soccer, practically every weekend growing up we switched off asking our parents if we could hang out. Even after many moves and years apart, our friendship has made it through. Ashlyn is encouraging, intelligent, funny, and has such a genuine heart. She’s the kind of friend that no matter the time or distance, we can always catch up and pick up right where we left off. She is so deserving of the very best this world has to offer because she truly is such a wonderful person. I am so happy to be a part of her life and watch her love story unfold!

Dec. 30, 2018 — Israeli-Jordanian border: after an hour detained by Israeli border patrol, I was finally cleared to cross. My first encounter on the other side was with a man in a bright red puffy jacket and a giant bionic arm brace. Little did I know we’d spend the next two nights sharing a tiny Bedouin shelter, laughing hysterically and inventing fictional movie plots. Teleporting Werewolves is a hit!

If you were to look up the word loyal in the dictionary, you’d find Ashlyn’s name right next to it. Everyone hopes for a friend who loves deeply and is all-in—but there’s always that worry that time or distance might change things. Ashlyn is the exception. Even after years apart, our friendship never faded. She’s always someone I can count on for support and encouragement. Seeing how much love she puts into her friendships, I can only imagine the love she shares with Miles. I feel so lucky to witness the start of such a beautiful chapter for both of you.

Miles is a friend who has somehow been part of an unreasonable number of my best memories. I met Miles in June of 2024, and not long after, he invited me to New Orleans for his birthday. Somewhere between meeting him and that trip, a new friendship turned into one of the closest friendships in my life. Since then, it feels like we’ve packed many years of memories into a pretty short amount of time. What I appreciate most about Miles, though, is the kind of friend he is when it actually matters. He’s loyal, generous, and genuinely invested in the people he cares about. There are certain friendships where you know, regardless of where life takes you, that person is going to be in your corner. Miles has always been that kind of friend to me. It’s funny to think that I’ve only known him for a couple of years, because it genuinely feels much longer. I’m grateful our paths crossed when they did, and I’m honored to stand beside him for one of the biggest moments of his life. I couldn’t be happier for Miles and Ashlyn, and I’m looking forward to all the adventures still ahead!

Something that I love about Ashlyn is that she is always rooting for you. Anytime something happens in my life, I can always count on her to reach out and be excited about it. It doesn’t matter what it is she is there to cheer me on. It’s something I try to emulate! I grew up with all brothers, so I always looked forward to when Ashlyn and her sisters would come visit, they were my only girl cousins on my dad’s side. Some of my favorite memories of Ashlyn are when I would go on vacation with them growing up. When we baked a cake for the Fourth of July and sang Happy Birthday to America, acting dumb while eating in Dr. Suessland when a train came through the restaurant, any time at Swiss days - too many to count! Whenever we’re together we are always laughing and joking and it’s something I cherish about our relationship! I am so happy for her and miles and I can’t wait to celebrate them on their big day!
