We're Getting Married!

The first time I remember meeting Sam was at work in 2011. My first impression of Sam was that he was polite and super funny. However, it turns out that I had met Sam years earlier when I was working in the ER as a receptionist. His mom also worked there and he had stopped by occasionally to see her, to this day I do not remember meeting him then! Sam officially asked me to be his girlfriend on October 11, 2012. Both of our birthdays are also in October, so it just made sense that our wedding should also take place on our favorite month - OCTOBER!

It was a Friday afternoon - Sam called to ask me to get off work early because he wanted to take me somewhere. I immediately said yes, but he wouldn't tell me where we were going. We ended up at Dumbarton Oaks Museum & Garden - We walked through the museum looking at ancient artifacts, then made our way into the garden. I never suspected a thing, because we did things like this, out of the blue, all of the time. We got to this area in the garden where we were surround by trees, it was oval shaped, and had a water fountain in the center. There was no one around us, and it was so peaceful just sitting there enjoying the warm sun. Then Sam says we should take a picture, he props his phone on one of the trees and begins to record (I thought he was setting the timer for a photo), as he walks back to me he gets down on one knee and the rest is history... We are beyond excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Turks & Caicos!
