How do I get to Florence from Milan or Rome?

From Milan Airport go to "Uscita 4/Exit 4" and look for the couch buses that will drop you to Milano Centrale Train station. It is about a 30 minute ride costing around 12 euro a person. From The train station take the high speed Freccia Rossa train to Santa Maria Novella Station in Florence. From there you can grab a taxi or walk to your hotel. From Rome take a bus or Taxi to Rome Termini Train Station or Rome Tiburtina Station and take the high speed train to Santa Maria Novella Station. Both Milan and Rome are equidistance to Florence about 1Hr 45 min
