How to get to San Carlos driving?
San Carlos Mexico is a beautiful town nestled between the Sea of Cortez and the mountains, offers numerous activities on shore and in the water, several restaurants and bars, this town has two world class marinas, and an 18 hole, par 72 championship golf course. San Carlos Sonora has dozens of excellent restaurants, bars and nightclubs. From tacos to fine dining, there’s something to please even the most discerning palate. To get to San Carlos you can take an easy 4 hour drive south of the Arizona border, about 5 hours drive from Tucson or 7 hours from Phoenix. Directions The most affordable way to get from Phoenix to San Carlos is to drive, which costs $90- $180 and takes 7h approximately. If you are driving from Phoenix please take the I-10 east to Tucson, Arizona. From Tucson, you want to head south on Interstate 19 to Nogales, Arizona. Once you cross into Nogales, Mexico, you want to continue south on Highway 15. You will pass by several small towns. Once you get to Hermosillo you see signs for Guaymas, You will see the San Carlos sign as you get closer to Guaymas, this sign merge on Mario Favio Beltrones Blvd.; continue through San Carlos for about 5 miles and once you are there almost all accommodations and hotels are within a distance of 4 miles. Mileage notes: Nogales to Guaymas is 260 miles; Hermosillo to Guaymas is 82 miles. Please keep in mind that the estimated time may vary depending on the lines and delay in the border. Please add at least 30 minutes to 1 hour to your time.

How to get to San Carlos flying?
Another great option is to fly into one of the two international airports located close to San Carlos. Once you are there you will find several transportation options such as car rental or taxi service which will take you to this beautiful town in one hour and a half or as fast as 25 minutes. Guaymas Airport General José María Yáñez International Airport. This airport is located in Guaymas and the driving distance from San Carlos town is about 20-30 minutes. Please take into account that there aren’t direct flights from Phoenix to Guaymas and prices range from $350-$700 round trip. If you choose to fly into this airport the best option to get into town will be a taxi service. Taxi fare (one way): Approx. $35 from one to two passengers, and after two people $12 per person extra. Hermosillo International Airport Hermosillo Airport is located one hour and a half from San Carlos town, this Airport will be your best option since it offers direct flights from Phoenix Az and other multiple locations in USA as well as multiple destinations from South America. Flying from Phoenix to Hermosillo prices range from $150-$600 round trip.
