Emily has been Alicia's best friend since they were in 3rd grade and met playing soccer on the Haslett Hurricanes. Growing up, Alicia, Emily and Meghan were always by each others' sides, plotting their lives outside of Haslett and finding ways to evade questions from their parents on what they were up to. Emily is always the first person Alicia calls when she has free time and is a constant support. One of those calls from Alicia was on her bus ride home from a first date with Mike where she told Emily she may be crazy, but thinks she is going to marry this guy. After meeting, Emily and Mike immediately hit it off with their shared sense of humor and neuroses. Emily lives in Washington D.C..
Meghan Gifford

Meghan and Alicia are better defined as twins, rather than just best friends. Their moms met at a prenatal aerobics class in D.C., they then were delivered by the same doctor a few months apart, their families moved to mid-Michigan within 6 months of one another, and to round out the perfect friendship story, ended up living only 5 houses apart in Haslett. Throughout childhood, Alicia and Meghan were inseparable in every way. From skipping school if the other was sick, to directing their brothers in NYE plays for their parents to creating joint stories about their evening plans so their parents wouldn't ground them. Their parents have since admitted that they would also coordinate on how to parent the two. Since becoming adults, Alicia and Meghan's friendship hasn't waned and they even have matching friendship tattoos. Meghan lives in Washington D.C.

Christian "Brix" and Mike's friendship goes back to middle school. Their shared "down-for-anything" personalities created some unforgettable memories, from spontaneous couch-surfing trips to LA to annually sneaking into Lollapalooza. Make sure to also congratulate Brix on his recent engagement to his fiancé, Jess. Brix lives in Tennessee.
Dana Alexander

Dana and Alicia first met in 7th grade when Dana was a new student at Haslett and Alicia told the middle school boys to leave Dana alone when they were trying to flirt with her. Alicia and Dana went to separate colleges but reconnected when they both moved to Chicago after graduation. Alicia, Dana and Emily spent every weekend together in Lakeview, often taking walks by the lake, traveling to Dana's family home in Pentwater and cooking dinner together. During that time, Alicia innocently introduced her cousin Phil to Dana... and now the two are married, making Dana and Alicia officially family! Dana lives in Evanston, Illinois.
Matt Foertsch

Matt and Mike met Freshman year at Purdue, though their friendship really took off Senior year when they became roommates. Though many of the college stories between these two should never see the light of day, Mike would like to emphasize how much fun these two had. Though Matt lives in Louisville now, the two remain close, even in spite of the ongoing prank war where they send each other increasingly ridiculous packages in the mail. The last gift Mike received from Matt was a pair of pants... filled with ants. Matt lives in Louisville, Kentucky.
Jessica Baker

Jessica and Alicia met in Chicago, though they both attended the University of Michigan at the same time. After they met at the Diag while watching a Michigan football game and having too many mimosas, the two instantly connected over their love of 2000s pop punk and their Michigan roots. They have spent countless hours together over a boozy brunch, bar hopping in Old Town and throwing rooftop BBQs. Alicia considers Jessica to be one of the most fun and friendliest people she has ever met. Jessica was one of Alicia's first friends to meet Mike, after Alicia and Mike had only been on 2 dates. Since meeting, Jessica now also considers Mike to be one of her closest friends and the three have monthly FaceTime calls. Jessica lives in Chicago.
David Watkins

Dave was originally Mike's manager at Enterprise when Mike was just out of undergrad. Unlike almost every other interaction Mike has had with authority, the two became great friends and ended up being roommates in Chicago for 3 years. Dave put up with Mike's messy habits and in turn, Mike introduced Dave to his wife, Heinery. Dave and Mike have countless memories of late nights and a few too many early mornings, like ending up at the Millennium Park playground as normal people were starting their day. Dave and Mike remain close, though their all-nighters may be over... or are they? Dave lives in Chicago.
Andrea Buras

Andrea is Alicia's sister, well her cousin, but the two think it's easier to just say sister at this point. Andrea was Alicia's very first role model and inspiration. The two spent almost every Sunday together at their grandparents' house, with Alicia following Andrea around, copying everything she did. As they got older, their relationship matured and quickly became confidants in every aspect of life, though Alicia still tries to copy everything Andrea does. The sisters love to travel together, complain about Michigan sports, go hiking and gossip about their moms. Andrea lives in Salem, Oregon.
Adam Foren

Adam is Alicia's brother and Mike's soon-to-be brother. Mike and Adam spend a lot of time at family holidays and trips, drinking beer and eyerolling at their family members. While Mike enjoys watching Adam's football games, he makes sure to steer clear of giving him coaching advice, which Adam deeply appreciates and doesn't happen very often with other spectators. Adam has endured years of Alicia's torture and is happy to now share the burden with Mike. Adam lives in Austin, Texas.
Taylor Foren

Taylor is Alicia's sister-in-law, though Alicia considers her to just be a sister. The two love to spend time together on family vacations and holidays, often drinking wine and gossiping about reality TV or entertainment news. From vineyard hopping in Traverse City to exploring Ireland together, Taylor is one of Alicia's favorite people to travel with. Aside from traveling, Alicia and Taylor like to pregame Adam's football games together and comment on the school's cheerleading and dance teams. Taylor lives in Austin, Texas.
Jake Kiss

Mike and Jake first met while on a work trip in Dallas while they were working for Worldwide Express. Though Jake was living in Grand Rapids, he soon started dating Mike's good friend and co-worker, Galina. When Jake moved to Chicago, the two became close friends, having extended lunches with the Gyu Krew and raiding their office's bar on late nights and weekends (including holding an unsanctioned St. Patrick's Day party which involved a lot of hiding the evidence on Sunday). Though Jake and Mike no longer work for Worldwide, they still remain close, with Jake's guest bedroom being the accommodation of choice for trips back to Chicago. Jake lives in Chicago.
Maureen Mallas

Alicia and Maureen met on the walk to freshman orientation at the University of Michigan and spent the next 4 years glued to one another. Alicia considers Maureen to be a driving factor for her college degree, helping her study hard and remain calm through tough times. Well... the studying and remaining calm may not be true, but Maureen and Alicia made sure to create memories that will last a lifetime and won't be documented in writing. After college, the two remained extremely close with their long phone calls, trips to visit one another, and even a cross-country road trip from California to Chicago. While on a hike in Yellowstone, the two came across a grizzly bear on the trail, and they did not remain calm and decided to turn and run. They are both very happy to live to tell the tale. Maureen lives in Nashville.

Mike and Marc first met in Israel on Birthright and instantly hit it off. After the trip, the two continued their friendship in Chicago, going to EDM shows and generally being bougie degenerates. Once the pandemic hit, Marc moved to New York City for his MBA, giving Mike a great excuse to travel to his favorite city. Marc lives in New York City.
Shannon Miller

Shannon is the sister of Mike and soon-to-be sister Alicia. Shannon and Alicia spend every Christmas together and bond over their love of shopping on the Michigan Mag Mile in Chicago and good coffee. Alicia considers Shannon to be one of the most intelligent people she has ever met, along with the most resilient. Shannon is a lover of quaint coffee shops, traveling to cities across the world and a true confidant to her brother. Shannon lives in Durham, North Carolina.

Emily is the daughter of Alicia's cousin Eric and his amazing wife Jean. Alicia loves getting weekly photo updates from Eric on all of Emily's activities and hobbies. Emily loves cats, the color rainbow, spending time with her grandparents and the University of Michigan. Emily is also excited that "Flower Girl" is her first official job. Emily lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan with her parents.
Banksy

Banksy is Alicia and Mike's perfect angel dog. A few months into their relationship, Alicia asked Mike if he was ready to get a kitten, he said no, so Alicia took that to mean they were ready to get a puppy. Mike found Banksy in Iowa, lied to Alicia that she was the only puppy available because he fell in love with her at first sight, and the rest is history. Banksy is spoiled, sassy, dramatic and her parents' obsession. Banksy lives in Denver with her servants, Alicia and Mike.
