"Hey Beautiful" was the first thing I said to get her attention. We met on a dating website that neither of us could ever find anyone real. After a few days of messaging we finally decided to meet in person at Dave & Buster's. After a few dates, we both realized how much we couldn't go even one day without hearing the sound of one another's voice. From there, we both got to know each other more, which grew to love. So now we can't wait to be "O-Fish-Ally" husband and wife.
It was really important for me to get our daughter Emily's approval before I even proposed to Mildred, so I asked her, "How do you feel about me marrying your mommy?" In excitement she said, "Really?! I don't mind, she really loves you!" I then asked her mom, "I wanted to ask you if I can have your daughter's hand in marriage?" and she said, "Yes. If you both love each other I will support you both in any way that I can." I had asked my cousin who is now one of my Best Men to help me pick out the ring. Being the nosy girl she (Mildred) is, our daughter and her sister told me that she knew about the ring, so I decided to gather our families together for my birthday celebration instead. After the dinner I finally gathered myself together to get down on one knee and proposed to my best friend. Even though I already knew about the ring, I didn't realize until the end of his speech what was going on. My eyes started filling up with tears and of course I said "YES"!!! So bring your dancing shoes because we will be dancing the night away!!! We cannot wait to celebrate our big day with all our family and friends!!!
