we're (still) getting married!

June 1, 2021!

Less than a month to the wedding! We are moving full steam ahead, with California's reopening. CA masking requirements are no longer in effect for vaccinated guests, except for when you are on the Cavalier/Ragged Point Inn shuttle, on public transportation, or interacting with event staff. We can't wait to see you!

If you have already made reservations at Ragged Point Inn for the original June 2020 date, all reservations have been automatically moved to July 10, 2021. No need to worry!

We were two people from California who randomly met at a college party in Indiana where Kevin was bar-tending and Alex knew a mutual friend. After seeing each other and getting coffee a few times (sometimes for hours), we realized we really enjoyed each other's company. But since Kevin was graduating soon and moving to Michigan, neither of us were planning on getting into a relationship. Little did Alex know Kevin had already started to fall for her. After a few months, and Alex moving nearby for her internship, Kevin asked her if she wanted to date. Two years of long-distance later and driving 4+ hours to see each other on the weekends, Kevin knew he wanted to be closer and took a job closer in Indiana. Soon after that, we added a little border collie named Bailey to our group and moved back to the Bay Area after Alex graduated. After 6 months of living together in Santa Clara, CA, Kevin knew he wanted to ask her a question.

On a trip up to Portland to visit his sister (which Alex almost didn't go on), Kevin had a secret trip planned behind the scenes with Colleen. The weekend was going to involve a trip to some wineries, a tour of Portland, and the Oregon Coast. Little did Alex know the plans she were told were just a cover up for the real surprise. Kevin was planning to propose on the first day when they were viewing the Oregon Coast. Kevin and Colleen told Alex that after the beach they would visit a winery. With these "plans" in place we all had to dress up nicely for our trip to see Cannon Beach. As we were leaving the beach, a friend of ours sent a "random" text to check out nearby Indian Beach just around sunset. We drove over and as we were settling down on this beach for a quick snack, we took a picture to show our friend that we stopped by. This is when he got down on one knee.
