It all began in the most romantic of places—College Park, Maryland. More specifically, the library. Shreya was studying (or at least pretending to), when her parents came to visit. She needed someone trustworthy to guard her precious belongings—laptop, notes, probably snacks. Enter Milan, a kind-eyed fellow student just trying to get through the semester. Milan said yes, blissfully unaware he was agreeing to much more than just babysitting a backpack. Those few minutes turned into a friendship, and before long sparks began to fly. With their love story out in the open, Shreya and Milan did what any ambitious, lovestruck pair of dental nerds would do: they applied to the same dental school. Not just any dental school. The dream—NYU College of Dentistry. Somehow, the stars (and maybe their DAT scores) aligned. They both got in. Now, they spend their days drilling (teeth), filling (cavities), and billing (insurance)—still laughing about how it all started with one simple favor in the library. And yes—Milan still watches Shreya’s stuff. Only now, it includes her heart, her notes, and sometimes her extra pair of loupes.
