We were both in the Jump Start program at Slippery Rock University. They separated us by colors. Milan and I were both on the red team. I was an introvert and missed a lot of the first day activities. Reluctantly, I went to the second day of activities and to my dismay it was jeopardy a game I didn't care for. I sat quietly in the auditorium while they began playing. My friend had some sour patch kids she was sharing with me, and some girl behind me asked me for some. I looked back and gladly shared. I could tell she was an extrovert and extremely outgoing, I mean you have to be to ask a stranger to share. She introduced herself to me and we started talking to each other. She encouraged me to play the game because she swore up and down she knew the answer, so I went up front to participate. . After a few people give their teams answer, its finally my turn. I say the answer confidently and quickly find out I was wrong. All we could do is look at each other and laugh. That was the moment that I knew she was special and I wanted to know more about her. I realize that it was fate's gentle nudge that guided me to play Jeopardy, unknowingly leading me to the love I cherish today.
