Typically, the weather is mildly cool, with highs in the 60s and possible lows in the high 40s. The area might feel slightly breezy as well.

How do I get to the venue?

If you are traveling West on Route 33: Follow US-33 W. and pass the town of Stanardsville. The road will narrow and you will climb some winding foothills. They are the next left after the Lydia Log Cabin building with the Red Tin Roof. Turn LEFT onto VA-625/GOOSE POND RD take an immediate right into the parking lot. If you are traveling East on Route 33: After passing the Swift Run Gap entrance to Skyline Drive, you will begin to descend the mountain. You will pass a sign stating “You are now leaving Shenandoah National Park.” Take the next Right onto Rt. 625/Goose Pond Road. Take a Right into our parking lot on Golden Horseshoe Rd. Be sure to use their FULL NAME, as there is also a "Horseshoe Rd" in town, so be sure to type in "GOLDEN Horseshoe Rd" The venue is located directly off of Route 33. Make sure GPS doesn't take you on the back roads. DO NOT turn onto Timber Dr. GPS can be unreliable in the mountains.

Can I only attend the ceremony and not the dinner after?

Yes, that is perfectly fine! We only ask that you please RSVP accordingly so we can establish an accurate headcount.

What if we can make it only on Saturday and not Friday or Sunday?

We are happy to celebrate with you, even if that is only for one day on Saturday! Please be sure to RSVP to reflect your plans so we can plan too.

What's the dress code?

Answer

Only the wedding ceremony and dinner after on Saturday are semi-formal, such as spring dresses, skirts and tops, and jumpsuits for women, with a suit or a nice button down and pants for men. The Friday night dinner and Sunday brunch are casual - wear something comfy that you love!
