Terrence and Milagros met after a mutual friend gave Terrence her number. She didn't even know at first that this was the guy pending in her friend request. A few texts and an offer for an ice cream date to close out the summer later, Milagros and Terrence met up. They spent their first day talking, mostly from Terrence, over cookie dough ice cream and mint chocolate chip. Terrence has been talking ever since.

Like so many of us, Covid-19 changed a lot of plans for everyone; unknown to Milagros, this included the proposal. Terrence had been working on how he was going to ask her to marry him for months. Trips were cancelled, family jewelers were closed and hints were being dropped left and right. On August 26, 2020 Terrence told Milagros he had a date planned by the beach. While Milagros was scanning the parking lot for any familiar license plates, Terrence was making sure the ring didn't drop out of his pants.... and yes she checked his pockets before leaving. They both walked onto the beach where a lantern pathway was lit leading to the cutest picnic scene. They popped champagne, and talked about the things they loved about one another before the couple's resident photographer came down the pathway. Terrence had arrange for his friend and groomsman to "run into them" and ask to take a couple of pictures. After they posed for shots, Milagros turned around to see Terrence down on one knee. This was the moment their best friends and family jumped out of the bushes where they had been hiding. After a lot of tears, screams and champagne showers they did it. That boy good!
