She’s from the Bronx. He’s from Chicago. So naturally, God introduced them… in Virginia Beach. At a church Singles Retreat. Because why make it simple? They met in May 2023. First his younger brother, then Jeff himself, who showed up with just enough mystery to catch her friends’ attention. By the second day, everyone except her could see Jeff being adorably intentional. (Her friends were basically narrating the love story before she realized she was in it.) On the drive home, Jeff replied to her Instagram story and asked for a phone call in a few weeks the holy version of “Can I get your number?” And from that moment, something sweet (and very well-orchestrated by God) began. She had prayed specifically for a man of faith, character, and leadership. He had prayed for a woman who matched his heart. Somehow, their prayers collided perfectly. They spent a whole year building a friendship that had everyone waiting for the inevitable, until Jeff finally asked her to be his girlfriend in April 2024. Now, in April 2026, they’re saying “I do.” From different states, different backgrounds, and one unforgettable retreat came a love story full of laughter, intention, and God’s perfect timing. And if this is the beginning, the rest is going to be beautiful.
