This love blossomed from of a mutual love of online shopping. After just a few short weeks of browsing through their options on Tinder (there were some poor reviews of most of the products), the couple began talking. Upon returning from vacation, Mikkel drove 30 miles out of the city to meet some guy she had never met in person from over the internet, with a chipped tooth and shaggy hair. Zach had no idea how to even pronounce her name (after weeks of talking) when she arrived. After the second "date", Mikkel offered to take the bus or an Uber home, but Zach insisted he drive her, and even took her out to lunch. Three months later they moved in together and about three months after that they got their own apartment together. They now have their own home, two dogs, two cats, and two frogs.

On Christmas of 2018, Zachary gave a promise ring to Mikkel. However, his plan was foiled because nobody knew she was opening the box from under the tree and everyone, including Zach, missed the entire thing. Two (long) years later they went on their annual vacation to Utah. On their way home, they drove through Yellowstone like they had done the previous year. While at Old Faithful, the heat began to get to them and Mikkel tried to go find shade several times, complaining of heat and nausea. After about 20 minutes of him trying to keep her from passing out, Zach finally asked Kel to "grow old and stay faithful for the rest of our lives". Two ladies woo-hooed for them and that was the beginning of the next chapter in their lives together.
