November 17th, 2017, will forever be the day I met my husband. What started as young college students (Roll Mavs) meeting through mutual friends quickly turned into something bigger. We got our sweet Finn together, navigated graduate programs, accepted our first "big kid jobs," bought our first house, and enjoyed endless little moments in between. There is nobody else I would rather do life with. Every laugh is louder, every milestone sweeter, and every hardship easier to bear. After six years of dating, Mads was (not so patiently) waiting for her ring. Maddie had gone to look at rings with her mom and grandma, making my job easy. I knew I wanted to keep the proposal intimate. Her parent's lake place is one of her favorite places so I planned a weekend up there for the two of us. I enlisted the help of Finn and asked her on the end of the dock. July 23rd, 2023 was the day she became my fiancé. We cannot wait to party with all of you! -Luke
