It's true, Nick and Kinzie were once coworkers. When romance is in the air at work it can lead to distracted employees, gossip, favoritism and even marriage! How it all started: Kinzie moved to Arizona. Her uncle got her a job working at a golf course where Nick was the irrigation tech. Her uncle introduced the two of them and Kinzie was quickly intrigued by Nick. He was charming and impressively witty. The flirty banter kicked off immediately. Kinzie warned her uncle she "should stay away from that guy." She knew if she kept talking with him a workplace romance was a real possibility. It was useless. She was already crushing and she definitely did not stay away. Nick invited Kinzie to a few Spotify jam sessions, they listened to music together. Nick would make excuses to work where Kinzie would be. Kinzie once over-exaggerated a cut so Nick would bring her a band-aid. When he saw the cut for himself he laughed and knew it was all a scheme to see him. His hands shook from nervousness as he put the band-aid on the barely noticeable wound. After a couple weeks of being nervous wrecks around each other Nick and Kinzie found out they were neighbors! Kinzie was lucky to make the drive from Washington to Arizona. Not only did she meet her future husband but her old decrepit Subaru made it the distance. The drive went smoothly but Ruby the Subie wasn't the most reliable. The commute to the golf course was a bit far and Kinzie was looking for someone to carpool with. Out of all the people, of course, Nick lived right across the street. He happily offered to be her carpool companion. With the convenience of being neighbors, and the long car rides to and from work, they got to know each other more. They both had dry, silly, humor. They constantly laughed together. They both enjoyed being in the outdoors. They shared a lot of the same interests and the chemistry was undeniable. Plus after seeing Nick's car karaoke skills it was over. Kinzie was impressed. Soon after they started carpooling together Nick asked Kinzie on their first date. They were both excited and unusually nervous. Nick had never seen Kinzie in anything other than her work clothes and was blown away when he picked her up for dinner. At the restaurant Nick got waters from the self service station and immediately dumped them on the floor. It was a classic first date faux pas. Nick was tremendously embarrassed but they laughed it off and they talked effortlessly about anything and everything for the rest of the date. A week later they went on a second date. Kinzie invited Nick over to bake a cheesecake and make crafts. The baking went awry. The two of them were too busy flirting to follow recipe instructions. Smoke poured out of the oven as the crust burned. Kinzie had a turn being embarrassed to even the playing field. It was still a great date. Both of their clumsy mishaps only added to the charm. They continued seeing each other and before they knew it they were hooked. They had something special. They spent the holidays together and met each others family and friends. They were falling fast in love. Their love for each other grew faster than they could have ever imagined. They had so much fun going through life together. They especially enjoyed going on paint and sip dates at a cute little studio in Gilbert, AZ. One evening in March they went to paint and all the Arizona family members were there at the studio. Nick planned a surprise proposal! Kinzie was absolutely shocked and obviously said yes! Nick and Kinzie became immeasurably grateful to find someone who loves them unconditionally. They both had someone to go through life's wonders and difficulties with. It's a real life love story, neither of them expected, and they couldn't be happier. Fast forward to today, they moved back to Washington and live in their first apartment together. They are close to the ocean and continuing to fall in love. They will be married on the anniversary of their first date.
