Sangeet and Chinese Wedding Tea Ceremony

6:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Kamandalu Ubud
Jalan Raya Andong, Bali 80571, Indonesia

The Sangeet is all about music, joy, and dancing with the people we love most. It’s our chance to celebrate, laugh, and let loose before the big day with fun performances, good vibes, and plenty of moves on the dance floor! We’ll also be holding a Chinese tea ceremony, a tradition where we serve tea to our elders as a way to show love, respect, and gratitude. It’s a heartfelt moment where our families come together and officially become one. What to wear? Think semi-formal or anything you can move in! IndoWestern or modern Chinese outfits are perfect, but really, wear whatever makes you feel good. If you’d like, add a touch of red or gold to celebrate Chinese heritage. A scarf, a jacket, earrings; have fun with it and make it your own!

Haldi

10:00 am - 12:00 pm

The Haldi is a fun and love-filled pre-wedding tradition where family and friends smear us (gently, we hope!) with turmeric paste to shower blessings and good vibes. Expect music, laughter, lots of yellow, and maybe a little bit of a mess in the best way! Dress comfy and light; you might get a little turmeric on you. Yellow, gold, or white outfits are perfect, but feel free to wear any bright, happy color like orange, peach, or green. Add some fun accessories or floral touches if you’re in the mood. Most of all, just come ready to laugh, dance, and celebrate with us!

Baraat Procession, Wedding Ceremony, Reception

4:30 pm - 9:30 pm

The Baraat is a lively, joy-filled procession where the groom arrives with his crew, family, friends, music, and plenty of dancing! The bride’s family welcomes everyone with open arms and traditional rituals. It all leads up to a sweet moment where we exchange flower garlands, a symbol of love. Right after, we move into the wedding ceremony itself full of traditions, blessings, and the love of everyone around us. Dress to celebrate! Semi-formal or formal attire is perfect. Feel free to go all out with color, think bright, festive, and joyful. Traditional Indian outfits like sarees, lehengas, sherwanis, or Nehru jackets are always beautiful. Chinese-inspired looks like qipaos or Tang suits are also lovely. And if you’re feeling fusion or Western, rich fabrics and bold colors are great too. Most importantly, wear whatever makes you feel good and ready to celebrate!
