Michael planned to romantically surprise Rachel by popping the question on a group trip to Zermatt, Switzerland. Rachel, who normally doesn't ski, surprised Michael by deciding on a whim to take a private ski lesson on the exact same day as his secretly planed proposal. After a few harrowing hours on the slopes, an engagement ring box squishing fall, an epic meal at Chez Vrony, and some sly urging by friends to convince Rachel to remove her ski helmet, the question was popped in front of the Matterhorn and proposal most enthusiastically accepted.
