Michael and Allice first met in May 2022 when Mikey visited King's Covenant Church, the church Allice attends, with his friends. That December, Mikey, a car mechanic, helped Allice fix a car issue (and successfully get her number in the process), but when he asked her to grab a meal instead of receiving payment for the work, she unintentionally friendzoned him. But thankfully, they started talking more at their church's Memorial Day BBQ the following year under the careful watch of a table full of King's moms (who to this day are keeping an eye on him ;)), and then they hit it off at a baby shower in June (thanks Mitch and Diane!) where he asked Allice out on a date. After a whole summer of getting to know each other and going on beach and burger dates, they decided to end things instead of dating officially because they both felt that it was not good timing for various reasons. They were still cordial at church but rarely interacted until four months later at a wedding (shout out to Steve and Nicole!) when Mikey approached Allice and they started talking again. There had been no love lost, but those four months apart were incredibly valuable for each of them to grow personally and spiritually. They started dating officially in January 2024 and have since shared many memorable moments together, including snowboarding together (which occasionally included the extremely skilled Mikey having to hold newbie Allice all the way down the mountain), serving on a church mission trip to Thailand together, going to Princeton Reunions and Graduation Prom (where they found their first dance song), and spending many dates at the arcade, the beach, and Costco. They're excited to take this next step in their lives and are so grateful that you are joining them to celebrate this new beginning!

While Michael and Allice originally wanted to get engaged in August, because Allice's parents, who are missionaries in Thailand, could not come back to the States until Christmastime, they postponed their engagement to December. Michael decided to propose to Allice in Orlando, where she grew up, and he began planning the momentous day with Allice's mom and brother Allen, becoming best friends with Mama Park in the process. Because Allice had to be in on it to a certain extent because it was in her hometown, Michael was determined to make it as special as possible. He hired a photographer, found a beautiful location, and told Allice, who had an outfit planned, that when they went to visit her family in Florida for the holidays, if he told her to put on the dress, she should put on the dress no questions asked. Two days before Christmas, Mikey shared a heartfelt speech, got down on one knee, and made Allice cry--and say yes to forever.
