Rent a kayak or take a glass bottom boat out to El Arco (Land’s End), one of the most popular landmarks in Cabo San Lucas. These natural rock formations are located at the tip of the Baja Peninsula, where the Pacific Ocean becomes the Gulf of California.
Head to Cabo Pulmo for the ultimate scuba diving or snorkeling experience. Nicknamed the Aquarium of the World, Cabo Pulmo is home to over 300 different species of fish, and is an incredible place to try your hand at playing mermaid for a day and exploring the beautiful sea life.
The Sea of Cortez is one of the best places to get close to the mighty humpback whales by joining a whale watching tour straight out of Cabo San Lucas. Whale watching season can start as early as November, but generally runs from December to April each year.
On the Sea of Cortez side, you will find good breaks at Playa Monumentos, Costa Azul’s Zippers, Nine Palms and Shipwrecks. During the winter months, it is highly recommended you visit the Pacific Coast beaches like Los Cerritos, San Pedrito, and La Pastora.
