We will keep you all updated as soon as we learn more information on how to properly proceed. Once again, we thank you all for your support and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Ensuring the safety of our family, friends/invited guests is our priority. We hope to celebrate with you all in the future. In the meantime, please stay safe and take care. Love, Michael & Jaimie
2 different people, from 2 different cities on the opposite ends of the country, moved to Las Vegas to pursue one thing and it wasn’t a relationship. Mikey was originally from the Windy City of Chicago and Jaimie was originally from sunny Los Angeles. Both of them moved from their home towns to Las Vegas to pursue their careers. In the beginning they were just classmates in the same program. As each semester passed they became close friends. In the last semester of school their friendship grew into something more.
If it’s one thing this couple loves to do together other than eating good food, it’s to take trips to places and travel. Mikey and Jaimie always took trips around the month of April to celebrate both their birthdays, it has become a tradition. April was always a big month for them both. At the end of March 2018, they went on what was going to be one the most memorable trips of their lives. Off to JAPAN they went to celebrate Mikey’s Birthday. On part of their trip around Japan, the couple went to the Kiyomizu Dera Temple (the biggest most famous temple in Kyoto) along with their friends. At the temple there just so happened to be one of the oldest shrines in Kyoto for the god of love and god of relationships called the Jishu-Jinja Shrine. Here they would find the Koiuranai-no-ishi (love fortune stones). These 2 stones were roughly 10 meters apart and it is said that those able to navigate between the stones with their eyes closed will have their wish for love granted and/or have luck in love. Knowing this, Jaimie was thinking, “Oh how fun would this be” not knowing that this was part of the plan all along. At this point Mikey stood at one stone and Jaimie would navigate from the opposite stone to the stone Mikey was standing at with her eyes closed. On April 4th, 2018, Around 1:50 pm, Jaimie successfully made her way from one stone to the other where Mikey stood, with her eyes closed. So excited to accomplish this she did not expect what came next. Mikey took both her hands, began with the statement, “We’ve been together for 6 years....” got down on one knee and proposed! In the surprised and happiest tears she has ever cried, SHE SAID YES! 6 years later they finally got engaged! And now, 2 years later, they’re finally getting married! We can’t wait to celebrate the beginning of a new chapter in our lives with all of you! See you in the city where it all began, VEGAS!
