It’s finally happening!!

After dating for almost 13 years, and having 4 amazing kids we decided it was time to make this official. The weekend of June 8-10 2018 we took the kids to Estes Park for a little stay-cation. On Saturday the 9th the kids and I laid by the pool and swam, then Mikey made a late breakfast while I showered and got ready for a hike. He seemed to be in such a bad mood and I couldn’t figure out why! Mikey had in mind where he wanted to hike but once we got to the gate it was too busy for us to go where he had picked out. We drove around and stopped where we could. Finally we found a spot we were able to park and get out and hike. Maverick was so annoyed with the day and refused go get out of the car. Mikey told me to take the other kids and start on the trail. They finally joined us. We came to a beautiful spot near a creek and was taking pictures. (I guess while I was starting on the trail Mikey told Mav what was going on and Mav had to take pictures!) Mikey got down on one knee and said some amazing things (which I don't really remember because I was in complete shock)! Apparently he asked me to marry him because he had to ask me again. All I could say was “Shut up!” “Are you kidding me?” “Is this for real?!” Once he asked me again, of course I said YES!! He cried, I cried, I also apologized for not believing it was really happening! We got back in the car and looked at pictures and started planning! ❤️ I then found out that Mikey was upset that morning because when I was going through his stuff to get some if mine, I was digging around where the ring was. He was certain that I had seen the ring box and ruined his surprise. He worked very hard to make a memory of a lifetime happen that day!
