It was the night of the Michigan v. Penn State Game, in a bar in Wicker Park, Chicago. The bar was the second stop of the evening for Lexi and her friends, after spending the afternoon celebrating Lexi's birthday. Unbeknownst to Lexi, one of her friends had invited his pal Mike to the bar to watch the game. But it wasn't just the game that captured Mike's attention... it was Lexi. Spotting her immediately, he came up with a game plan of his own and wasted no time approaching her. But he was met with an infamous Lexi eye roll. Although Mike's initial plan was not successful, little did he know that Lexi was drawing up a game plan of her own. Four days later, they went on their first date. And the rest is history.

In March 2021, Mike devised a game plan that would leave Lexi without words for the first time in her life. Nothing was going to stop Mike on this play... not even his positive COVID test sixteen days before the trip. Mike planned to propose to Lexi on a family trip to the Bahamas. After successful negotiations with the Bahamian Health Ministry, he was cleared to enter the Island just as his plane was getting ready to take off. On the second evening of the trip, Mike took Lexi to watch the sunset on a remote and private island in the Exumas. It was another close call... this time as a result of Lexi's hair blowout fiasco.
