Dear Family & Friends, Due to the current climate and for everyone's safety, we have made the difficult decision to downsize our wedding to an intimate ceremony. [intimate = groom & bride + an officiant] Although we wanted to celebrate this special day surrounded by our family and friends, we just couldn't wait to say 'I do' & make it official. Please accept our apologies for not having you with us personally on our big day. On February 16, 2022, before sunset, we will privately exchange vows in the Redwoods of Big Sur, approximately 150 miles south of San Francisco and on the south of Monterey Peninsula. How We Started: Our love story is a culmination of a long wait: waiting on God, waiting on His timing, and His best! A breakthrough! An answered prayer! We were introduced virtually by our cupid, Trish (Mike's cousin), at the dawn of the pandemic in 2020. Between Dublin, Ireland and California we were thousands of miles apart from each other. Our one simple message followed by countless long-hours of video calls led to our hearts genuinely falling in love, even before we literally first met. The Proposal: In 2021, thank God we got co-located in California. Since then everything felt like home. Each moment together ultimately revealed that our love is indeed God-ordained. A love founded in peace, same values and mutual love for our families. Before the proposal, I (Mike) requested blessings from my parents and Leah's mom. Our engagement happened in Cabo, Mexico on December 4, 2021, while we witnessed the most beautiful sunrise we've ever seen! About Us: We both love food, travels, doing our own photo sessions, chilling at home & lounging at the sofa - the joys of simple things! We envision our wedding to be the celebration of God's goodness and faithfulness to His promises.
