Our Love Story (Before Mickey & Ruth Say “I Do”) ● The Beginning I thought I’d share our love story with you, Before Mickey and Ruth officially say “I do.” For those I’ve yet to have the pleasure to meet, Let me share how this man makes my life complete. We met in a way both modern and sweet, I praised his smile; and brought the heat. He returned the flattery, our chat took flight, But then he revealed—he was catching a flight. His profile showed LA, yet Vegas was home, A change of pace, a new life unknown. We spent a month texting before we would meet, Wondering if this was real—or a trick to deceive. ● The Moment We Knew From the first time I saw him, I knew in my heart, This wasn’t just something—it was only the start. He walked through my door and pulled me in tight, That moment felt different, it just felt right. He kissed me in my kitchen, and I made a vow— “Remember this feeling, hold onto it now.” And when on the rocks of Cancún he knelt, I relived it again, the way my heart felt. ● Family & The Bigger Picture Three months in, we flew to Mexico’s shore, For Tony and Aki’s wedding—a love to adore. That night, I watched with eyes open wide, A family so full of warmth and pride. I cried that night at the love in the air, The laughter, the closeness, the moments they shared. My own circle is small, yet so strong and true, But this was something new—I felt welcomed too. It was then I knew, beyond any doubt, How blessed I was, what love is about. ● The Strength of Love The first year was fast, with trials to test, Challenges that pushed us, yet love stood the test. Through highs and lows, through lessons learned, We built something deep, as trust was earned. Love begins with attraction and grows with time, But true love is proven in rhythm and rhyme. Only in hindsight do we pause to see, That love is protection, consistency. You need a partner who lifts, who stands tall, Who never lets you feel lesser or small. Who walks beside you, through thick and thin, A love so strong, no doubt creeps in. ● The Power of Commitment By the end of that year, one fear remained, Not of loss, but of joy sustained. His happiness, his health—my greatest care, A love so deep, so true, so rare. We asked ourselves: How do we make this last? And God answered: Through love steadfast. It’s family, it’s friends, it’s moments like these, That make love flourish and put hearts at ease. ● The Celebration of Love The beauty of a wedding is more than just two, It’s the love of the people who stand here with you. A destination, a moment, a memory to make, A gathering of hearts for love’s own sake. So, we look forward to this sacred day, When together we stand and proudly say— “We vow to love, to cherish, to guide, To walk hand in hand, forever side by side.”
