We chose to get married at the Old Point Loma Lighthouse in San Diego, drawn to its powerful symbolism. As a beacon of safety and guidance through storms, the lighthouse beautifully reflects our hopes for a marriage grounded in strength, resilience, and enduring love. On clear days, the site offers breathtaking views of the entire San Diego skyline on one side and the vast, open Pacific Ocean on the other—a perfect backdrop for a new beginning. Built in 1855, the lighthouse was one of the first eight on the Pacific Coast. Though it was eventually decommissioned due to frequent low clouds and fog, it now stands proudly as a museum and historical landmark within Cabrillo National Monument, preserving its legacy as a light that once guided countless ships—and now, symbolically, our journey together.
