Mike & I briefly crossed paths many years ago ... & simply never crossed paths again until about 18 years later. That time in between was spent raising our beautiful children & just doing life, one day at a time. Then, on January 30th, 2017, Mike reached out to me on Facebook - just to say hello & that he recognized me as the "woman with the twins" who lived across from his brother & sister-in-law many, many years ago. After about a week of talking (well, texting mostly) we decide to meet up. BUT ... an ice storm halted that plan. The joys of living in NJ/PA! Then on February 15th we tried again & finally had our 1st date. We explored Downtown Stroudsburg & just strolled along Main Street for hours. We grabbed lunch at Siamsa, people watched, & I introduced Mike to the Very Berry Hibiscus Refresher @ Starbucks! He's still a DD guy - go figure. We continued to get to know one another & realized that we wanted very similar things for our futures. We had a lot of the same family values & we wanted to move toward future goals together. We made some solid decisions, lived apart for a while, & we hustled hard so we could eventually join our lives. Once our kids finally met, it really solidified for us that we were going in the right direction. We could not have been happier to see that they all bonded & got along so well. It was a joy to see - still is. FAST FORWARD TO PRESENT DAY ... We live in the most perfect for us little house we bought together in August 2019. If you ask us, life is best when we are blessed enough to have all our children + 2 grandbaby girls (our favorite people!) hanging out at the house - laughing, cooking, bonding, making memories. We love sitting back & taking it all in - our hearts are so, so full.
