Our love story is definitely “the long way around” kind of story. The story behind how we met is something special to us; my uncle Jimmy and Mike’s father, Mike Senior, were best friends and flew together in the Marine Corps. I met Mike, his mom and his sister, at my uncle’s when i was 13...and then i never saw him again or spoke to him again until i went to Forest Park. We were friends throughout high school and somewhat fell out of touch in college. Fast forward YEARS later to June 2016. I had a buddy who was interested in line work and i immediately thought of Mike even though we hadn’t spoke in a very very long time. I put the two of them in touch and then Mike continued to text me here and there. He invited me over to his moms for the 4th of July and that was one of the first times we had hung out in a long time. It wasn’t until over a month later where we could clearly tell we both had some serious feelings for one another. We spoke all day everyday and hung out as much as we could and we both fell hard and fast. It’s crazy to think that our love story could’ve started when i was 13 and he was 15 but clearly life had other plans for us. I wouldn’t change a single thing. I am so glad our paths crossed again and i am SO excited to get married to the love of my life!
