After giving it much thought I have decided we are going to have an unplugged ceremony AND reception. We will have a foster child attending who's face is not allowed on ANY social media. Our photographer is familiar with this situation and will be able to work accordingly. I'm sure that if there is a special group photo you'd like, our photographer can help you or if you must take a photo yourself, we can work together to make sure there are no children in the backgrounds of the photos to protect this special child's identity. I really appreciate the help in this change of plans. I know how hard it is to avoid documenting everything in photos now-a-days! After more thinking on the subject I'd also like to express my concern on lighting and flash and such during the ceremony. I'm paying our photographer a lot of money, the most of everything that we've spent on this day because of the special lighting we will need for our nighttime wedding. I'm afraid any extra flashes of light will ruin a lot of the photos my photographer will take. I know that everyone wants photos to remember the day so if you come, I promise your thank you card will include special prints from the day! And when we have our photos they will all be on Facebook soon after! I can't wait to see everyone and for everyone to be completely present at our wedding!
Mike and I started talking through Match.com. It was an "okay, everyone is doing it this way now. I have had terrible luck everywhere else, but maybe this will be different" situation, well I was right. It sucked. But then all of a sudden there was Mike... and he was my age, and had the same interests as me, and he was cute! And he had an amazing sense of humor, much like mine. Yay! So we talked and talked and decided to see a movie! We went to Fremont Cinemas and then to the little Mexican place, where Mike will say I had shrimp tacos but DO NOT LISTEN TO HIM, I most definitely had fish tacos!
Mike spent the day before Christmas Eve telling me that I might get to open a Christmas present (nothing too big or fancy, just a small present and then the rest on Christmas morning) and he said Christmas Eve at 12:01 AM! I waited and waited and waited and finally he gave me a bag, and started recording... (the stinker!) I opened the first one in the bag and it was definitely a surprise! It was toilet paper, cheap toilet paper... I was a little confused but he gave me the next present in there and I started unwrapping... inside was a candy bar box filled with snack size snicker bars (my favorite!!), and under the candy bars was a lump... I pulled at the lump in the tissue paper and found an open ring box with a taco bell sauce packet in it that said MARRY ME on it. And under the sauce packet was my ring! I didn't cry... poor Mike was disappointed. Apparently that's what the toilet paper was for. I love this stinker of mine.
