FAQs

Question

Is the venue indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both our ceremony and reception will be held indoors, rain or shine.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Formal evening wear is encouraged. Black-tie is optional.

Question

Is there parking available for the Ceremony and Reception?

Answer

The Walden offers a complimentary 26-car parking lot for guests. To ensure everyone can enjoy the celebration safely, we encourage using rideshares such as Uber or Lyft, especially as an open bar will be available.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

To accommodate our celebration, we are limiting the number of children in attendance to family members. We also warmly ask that adults step outside with babies during the ceremony, so everyone can enjoy a calm and special moment together. Thank you so much for your understanding—we truly appreciate it.

Question

What is included in the children’s meal?

Answer

For our younger guests who are family members, the children’s meal—featuring chicken tenders, macaroni and cheese, and broccoli—will be served during the salad course. We hope they enjoy their special meal!

Question

What is the weather like in Chicago?

Answer

Spring in Chicago is beautiful but can be unpredictable! Early April usually brings highs in the 50s F (10-13 C) and lows in the 30s-40s F (2-7 C). Some days feel like winter’s hanging on, while others surprise us with warm sunshine. A light coat and layers are suggested, and don’t be surprised if you need both sunglasses and an umbrella in the same weekend! Snow is rare, but not impossible.
