Question

Is the ceremony and reception at the same venue?

Answer

Yes! No need to navigate to another location. Both events will be at The Stakeout, 101 Valley Dr. Rancho De Taos, NM 87557.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both! The welcome reception, ceremony and cocktail hour are all outside. Dinner, speeches and dancing will be inside. The venue is on the smaller side and we will maximize the space both inside and out.

Question

What if there is inclement weather?

Answer

Depending on the severity of the weather, we will have a backup plan. That said, be prepared to be outside even if it is chilly out. There will be small chimeneas (fireplaces) to help people keep warm during the cocktail hour and into the evening.

Question

Will there be transportation?

Answer

As of right now there is no transportation to and from the wedding. Check back for updates as the day approaches. We are trying to secure group transportation. There are no rideshares in Taos. Cars can be left at the venue overnight, but will need to be picked up no later than noon the following day (October 27th). Please drink responsibly and coordinate carpooling.

Question

What is the weather like in Taos?

Answer

Taos is at 7,200 ft. in elevation. October can have days in the 70s or it can snow. Check the weather as the day approaches. We suggest bringing layers.

Question

When do I have to be at the venue?

Answer

Sometime between 3:30 PM and 4:15 PM at the latest. We are having a welcome beverage and wedding guest book signing. The BIG DEAL ceremony begins at 4:15 PM - please be seated by then. If you are part of the bride or groom's family - please note you will be arriving at the venue earlier than 3:30 PM for photos. More details to come.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Your invite is specific to the number of individuals invited to the wedding. At this time the only children invited are the groom's nephews and the flower girl. We are sorry for this inconvenience and we realize it can be hard to make childcare accommodations, but the venue is not large enough to accommodate everyone's children.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Your invite is specific to the number of individuals invited. If your date is not listed by name on your invite they are not invited. There are no plus ones at the wedding due to venue size. We appreciate your understanding.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

September 13th!

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Please navigate to the registry link on our website! We are looking for mostly cash donations towards covering the cost of the wedding and the honeymoon.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is festive! Semi-formal attire with a twist! Feel free to wear patterns, prints and express your personality. Note: New Mexico is rustic. The ceremony is amongst pinyon pine and junipers in a wooded area with a dirt floor. The outdoor cocktail ceremony is on a deck and the inside of the venue is tile. Please plan footwear accordingly.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please note it in your RSVP. There is a section for food allergies.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Please see the "Travel" section of the website. We have two reserved hotel room blocks and there are numerous Airbnb's, VRBOs, and quaint hotels throughout Taos. Taos is a tourist destination and as such offers a variety of accommodations.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Ample parking is available at the Stakeout and cars can be left overnight if needed (again cars will need to be picked up the following day by noon).

Question

Should I Plan on Dancing all Evening?

Answer

YES! Please plan on bringing your metaphorical or literal dancing shoes. We plan to dance the night away and have a grand ole' time until they kick us out at 11:30 PM.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

YES! Please see the RSVP page to take note of which events you are invited to! Friday through Sunday there are activities and we hope to see you there!
