She is a devout lover of all things organic and beautiful, and her deep relationship with the Lord has probably done more good for Becca than she'll ever know.

Scripture student by day, basketball player by night, Kate Oliver has been Becca's close friend since 7th grade and has always been an inspiration of courageous faith and intentionality. She has always outdone the bride in athleticism, height, and humor, but Becca loves her anyway.
Marianna Taylor

Becca's elder by four years, Marianna is a high school math teacher in Kansas City, recently married to lawyer John Taylor, and proud owner of two cats. Her love of plants and all things edible are a constant inspiration to her baby sister, who can only hope to catch up on the culinary skills and expansive tea collection.

The eldest Rice child, Lauren is a pediatric nurse and mom of four. She somehow finds time to bake sourdough and focaccia, take Becca and Mike's engagement photos, and be a thoughtful big sister. She is enjoying having her younger sisters finally catch up to her in the marriage-and-family department.
Theresia Rice

Beloved sister-in-law, Theresia is a native of Minnesota who loves her husband, baby girl, liturgical music, and traveling. During her years in Atchison, Theresia welcomed Becca and all of Becca's college friends into her home for frequent visits, study sessions, and good conversations.
Ai-Vi Hoang

Ai-Vi and Becca have been close friends since Day 1 of college, spending an unimaginable number of hours together in the Architecture studio and coffee shop, sharing "Grandma's Apartment," exploring Kansas, and attending chamber concerts. Lover of beauty, friendship, food, and art, Ai-Vi is the bride's aesthetic inspiration and almost constant companion.

Another member of "Grandma's Apartment," this Michigan native has an impressive repertoire of journalism experience, Spanish fluency, sourdough expertise, girl-boss outfits, and incredible kindness. Hannah and Becca bonded through sharing the joys and struggles of junior/senior college life, including stressful schedules, skincare, and cooking.

The last of the Grandmas, Bridget is a beacon of knowledge, compassion, humor, and hard work. Becca and Bridget's shared workout schedule not only strengthened their muscles, but also built up a cherished friendship. Bridget loves Louisiana, psychology, coffee, quiet mornings, and country music.

Lydia is Lauren's second child and Becca's oldest niece. In fact, Becca is closer in age to her than to Lauren! Lydia does Irish Dance, runs on the track team, is learning piano, and (most of the time) loves playing with her three brothers.
Alec McGowan

Alec and Mike have been best friends since the summer of 2015 when they met for the first time at a mutual friend’s house. They spent middle school together laughing and getting in trouble and kept their friendship throughout high school and college. Alec and Mike have so many inside jokes that both of their mothers have said that they speak a different language when they are together.
Peter Christenson

Peter is Mike’s oldest brother. He is married to Katherine with two daughters, Kat and Alexandra, and serves in the Marines Corps Reserves. He recently started business school at the University of Chicago. Together with Josh he entertains the family at any joint meals like Sunday Brunch.
Josh Christenson

Josh is Mike’s second oldest brother and the bureau chief for the DC office of the New York Post. Josh is the life of the party and the family comedian, the necessary ingredient at every family gathering. Together with Peter they have come up with quotes and phrases that the family cycles through. A fun activity on family vacation is to try to remember quotes that have not been used in a while. When remembered, these quotes are said at least 3 times each day by various family members.
Ben Christenson

Ben is Mike’s third oldest brother. He is married to Jessie with 3 kids, Lauren, Hans, and Roland. If you can’t tell they love their Scandinavian heritage! Ben works for HSP direct and was the example for Mike’s sporting career, playing lacrosse and basketball up until college where he joined the club rowing team. Ben and Mike used to play basketball on a mini hoop in the basement where Ben would play on his knees to make the game fair.
Isaac Young

Isaac is Mike’s friend from Grove City. He was on the basketball team his freshman year with Mike but due to injury decided to focus on track and field instead where he set the school 800m record. Isaac graduated one year earlier than Mike and now lives in St. Louis with his wife Hope where he works for Archford. Isaac and Mike’s favorite activity is to throw the football and yap.
Alessandro Rose

Alessandro is another one of Mike’s friends from college. He was his confirmation sponsor in 2023 when Mike joined the Byzantine Catholic Church and is Mike’s roommate for their senior year of college. They love to talk about faith, life, and basically anything else as long as they get to smoke.
Nathaniel Carter
Groomsman
Nathaniel is one of Mike’s friends from high school. They played soccer, basketball, and lacrosse together and have kept in touch throughout college. Nathaniel attended Franciscan for his first 3 years of college and played lacrosse there. He plans on finishing his degree in civil engineering at Virginia Tech. Franciscan and Grove City are in the same conference so Mike and Nathaniel were able to attend a couple of the other person’s games throughout their careers and were always rooting for one another to succeed.
Joseph Whelpley

Joe is Mike’s friend from high school. They became friends their junior year when they realized they had similar music tastes and both liked playing Battlefront. Joe and Mike developed a small language of their own based on a couple Hebrew words. They continued their friendship throughout college and added to their “Dad lore”. Joe is graduating from Notre Dame in 2026 with a degree in Computer Science.

Lauren is Ben’s oldest child and Mike’s first niece! She loves playing with her brothers at Farmor and Farfar’s house and holding “chissies” (chickens) in the backyard at Ben and Jessie’s house. She also loves playing with “cuz Kat” who will be joining her as a flower girl!

Kat is Peter’s oldest daughter and Mike’s second niece! She was born 8 months after Lauren and the two make a great pair. Kat talks about wanting to see “cousin Lolo” and loves playing games with her at Farmor and Farfar’s house like “chase.”
