Mike was in between his weekly commutes (as a consultant) to St. Louis when he 'swiped right' in Hinge (a dating app) on the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. He sent her a message, but she never replied. :'( A few weeks later he saw her again, this time on a Jewish dating app. He sent her another message and to his surprise and delight she replied! :-D It was a rainy October day, during the cubs run to the world series when they finally met for coffee at Starbucks. It was love at first sight (at least for Mike). Although Mike had a bad haircut, and was wearing an ugly sweater, Quincy still decided to go out with him on a second date. It was at this point they fell deeply in love with each other (or at least Mike did again). Eventually Quincy came around and realized that Mike was the man of her dreams (for real this time). The rest is history.

Quincy and Mike had been talking about their future, and marriage was in the picture, but Quincy did not see the proposal coming that seemingly normal Wednesday afternoon. One month prior, Mike went out to dinner with Quincy's parents (Ken, Hillary) and asked them for Quincy's hand in marriage. Quincy had been giving not so subtle hints that she wanted to go to Disney World since the two met. Mike took this in mind and planned a proposal that would encompass something romantic, and a trip to Disney World. Shortly after asking Quincy's parents for their blessing, Mike followed up with Quincy's boss to make sure that she could take time off the following two days so that he could immediately whisk her away to Disney after the proposal. Mike then reached out to some of Quincy's closest family and friends from Chicago and asked them to show up after the proposal for Pizza and Champagne (two of Quincy's favorites). It was a seemingly normal Wednesday to Quincy as she headed off to work. Little did she know that Mike had a BIG surprise for her when she arrived home. Mike spent the entire day buying rose petals and decorating the entire apartment, including lining the entire place with candles. Quincy came back to the apartment, heard her's and Mike's song playing, saw the roses, and froze. There Mike was on his knee asking her to marry him. She immediately said yes. Mike then told Quincy that they'd be going to Disney World the next day and she broke down in tears. It was the happiest day of both of their lives.
