Laguna Beach
A short drive from San Clemente, Nikki's family beach house is located in Laguna Beach, CA. We have spent much of our time in there together during our trips back to California. You'll find a very cute downtown filled with art and shops, and beautiful beaches!
San Clemente Pier and Coastal Trail
Rent some bikes and ride along the ocean on the San Clemente coastal trail or spend some time relaxing on the sand. Walking to the end of the pier is always a must!
Pacific Coast Highway
If you've ever wondered why there are so many songs about driving the California coast, now is your chance to see why! The Pacific Coast Highway (State Route 1) is a major north–south state highway that runs along most of the Pacific coastline of the U.S. state of California. At a total of just over 656 miles, it is the longest state route in California. Roll the windows down and drink it in!
Mission San Juan Capistrano
The birthplace of Orange County, the Mission San Juan Capistrano is a beautiful landmark and museum filled with California history.
Surfs Up!
If you want to take surf lessons or just rent a board and head out on your own, San Clemente is a great place for it. San Clemente Surf Board Rentals has some great reviews! San Diego
San Diego is about a one hour drive from San Clemente. You can also take the train down! There is so much to do in SD: Find a day for the San Diego Zoo (the most visited Zoo in the United States!), go to Legoland, kayak through the La Jolla Caves, visit the historic USS Midway, brewery hop, or play at one of the many beautiful golf courses located there.
