We Got Married

It started with a fist bump and I was hooked! Michael and I went on our first date on Thursday, January 8, 2015, at J.Alexanders near where Michael lived. The meal lasted over 3 hours with wonderful conversation. As we headed out of the restaurant to our cars I tried to give Michael a hug and instead he puts up the knuckles and said, "I had a great time." I was so confused about what was happening, but I went along with it. I got in my car to head home and thought to myself, this man hates me. While at dinner we had talked about going to see a movie. I followed up with him and we decided to see American Sniper. For those that have seen this movie, you will understand that this is NOT a date movie. I tried to hold his hand during the movie, I tried to get closer to him, and he pulled away every time. Again we ended up just going our separate ways at the end of the night. I walked away from this date thinking there is no way this man likes me. We ended up going on 9 "dates" before I knew for sure he was interested. On the 9th date we went to Eddie Merlots for dinner. It was wonderful, great food, the conversation was awesome, and at the end we ended up discussing our feelings for each other. He invited me back to his place (FINALLY) where we continued to hang out till 2am, when he said to me, okay goodbye, thanks for coming, I don't do sleepovers, LOL. At the door of his apartment at 3811 Easton Way is where we had our first kiss. That moment to me was just fireworks. Maybe it was because of all the build up, who knows...but I knew one thing, I was hooked on this man and couldn't wait to see him again.

Michael and I have been together for almost 6 years, and engaged for almost 2 years. Over the past 6 years we have traveled all over the USA, from NYC to San Diego, California. We have traveled to the Caribbean several times, with the Dominican Republic being our favorite place so far, second to tropical Youngstown Ohio., LOL. We have attended several Notre Dame games in South Bend, Indiana, and have seen the Steelers play in the BURGH! Our love for football and travel have made this relationship perfect for the both of us. Now if only he can get me to enjoy "The Golf" we would have a trifecta. Good thing we have a whole life time for Michael to work on that.
